We were deeply saddened to hear that our long standing club member Gladys Baillie (Fyrnrose) has passed away.
Gladys joined the Scottish Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club in 1987 and played a huge part within the Club. She was elected to the Committee in 1991 and over the years served as Vice Chairman, Chairman and Secretary. She remained on the Committee and enjoyed an active role in the Year Book until her retirement only very recently.
In recognition of her contribution to the Club over so many years, Gladys was also an Honorary Vice President.
Gladys had energy and enthusiasm and was a well kent face with her lovely dogs in the showring both north and south of the border. Our sympathy goes to her family and her many friends at this sad time.
Gladys’s funeral will be held at West Lothian Crematorium, Cousland Wood, Starlaw Place - off Starlaw Road - Livingston EH54 7FD at 9.30 am on Friday 4th September 2026.
After the service, everyone is warmly invited to join the family for afternoon tea at The Deer Park Country Club where all can come together to celebrate Gladys' life.
Gladys will be sorely missed by all.
